Homes Evacuated, Jasper National Park Closed
Multiple wildfires are burning in Jasper National Park, forcing the evacuation of the Town of Jasper and surrounding areas. The Chetamon Mountain wildfire, located approximately 12 kilometres south of Jasper, is exhibiting aggressive fire behaviour and may be exacerbated by strong winds.
Evacuations and Closures
An Evacuation Alert has been issued for the Town of Jasper, meaning residents should be prepared to leave their homes at a moment's notice.
